Strategic Transportation Buyer – EMEA

We are looking for a Strategic Transportation Buyer to take ownership of transportation procurement across EMEA.
You will develop sourcing strategies, lead tenders and negotiations, manage logistics suppliers and drive cost savings, supplier performance and process improvements.
Your responsibilities
- Manage transportation categories including road freight (inbound/outbound), special & emergency transport, air and sea freight, courier/parcel services, 4PL, logistics providers and customs-related services.
- Lead RFQs, tenders, e-auctions, negotiations and contract renewals.
- Develop supplier strategies, evaluate performance and manage supplier risks.
- Analyze freight spend, benchmark costs and deliver annual savings targets.
- Identify opportunities in load consolidation, route optimization, supplier consolidation and cost avoidance.
- Prepare KPI, savings and management reporting.
- Support transportation transformation and digitalization, including TMS, Transporeon, BI and analytics tools, as well as 4PL and network projects.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance & Controlling, Transportation Management and external logistics providers.
